Our Story
The Collective was founded by Kathy and Jason Pallett with a shared vision of creating a thoughtfully curated destination where vintage, antiques, art, décor, and timeless design could come together under one roof.
Located on Main Street in the heart of Bedford Hills, directly across from the train station and next door to the local library, The Collective is surrounded by restaurants, shops, and the charm of a vibrant small-town community. Housed inside a beautiful two-level Colonial Revival-style home with a welcoming wraparound front porch, the space immediately evokes warmth, nostalgia, and discovery.
Kathy and Jason come from diverse professional backgrounds spanning corporate leadership, civil service, and successful self-employment ventures. For years, they dreamed of opening a space that combined their appreciation for history, design, craftsmanship, and community. When they discovered this unique location in Bedford Hills, they knew it was the perfect place to bring that vision to life.
Inspired by the excitement of the treasure hunt and the character found only in vintage and antique pieces, The Collective was created to offer something more elevated and design-forward — a carefully curated multi-dealer marketplace where every booth reflects the personality, expertise, and eye of its curator.
At the heart of The Collective are the exceptional dealers who make the experience truly special. Their knowledge, passion, and dedication to sourcing unique vintage and antique pieces from around the world are what give the shop its depth, character, and constantly evolving atmosphere. From fine antiques and vintage furnishings to art, collectibles, lighting, décor, and one-of-a-kind finds, each dealer brings a distinctive perspective and level of expertise that helps make every visit inspiring and memorable.
The Collective would not be what it is without these talented dealers, whose commitment to quality, authenticity, and curation defines the spirit of the shop and creates an experience unlike any other in Westchester.
Hester produces fresh, organic produce from local farmers in New York. Even our spices are fresh. Just because pickling is a preservation process doesn’t mean you can use dried-up thyme or week-old asparagus that’s already a little spongy.
We want to give our customers crisp, crunchy and delicious pickled vegetables and fruits. Most of all, we want to expand people’s palates and prove that pickles don’t always come in a green or red variety.
